Black History: Legacy in a Glass - History and Cocktails
February is a time to recognize the legacy, skill, and influence of Black professionals who helped build the foundation of American cocktail culture.
Black History: Legacy in a Glass - History and Cocktails is a guided, hands-on class that pairs cocktail technique with focused historical context. Guests will craft a classic cocktail inspired by a Black bartender or historical figure, while exploring the stories and contributions often left out of mainstream narratives.
This experience is educational without being academic, welcoming without being casual. It’s designed for curious drinkers, industry professionals, and anyone who believes understanding the past makes us better behind the bar today.
Each event includes:
- A guided, hands-on cocktail lesson
- A concise historical deep dive centered on Black excellence in the bar industry
- A printed class handout with recipes and key takeaways
- A light seasonal snack
All attendees must be 21 years or older. Seating is limited to 20 guests.
